The Xhorse VVDI Prog EWS4 Adapter facilitates the easy reading and writing of BMW EWS 4 module data. No soldering is required; simply place the EWS4 module into the adapter, tighten it securely, and connect it to VVDI PROG.
Additionally, the EWS4.X(ADAPTER) option has been added to the <4-IMMOBILIZER> section. To utilize this option, you will need the EWS4 Adapter.
Here's how to use the VVDI Prog EWS4 Adapter:
Insert the EWS4 module into the adapter and lock it in place.
Connect VVDI PROG with the EWS4 adapter, and then connect VVDI PROG to the computer.
Launch the VVDI Prog software.
Select the Immobilizer type, choose BMW as the brand, and select the EWS4 adapter chip.
Verify the connection diagram.
Click on "Read ID" to identify the MCU and ensure the connection is correct to prevent potential issues.
Perform chip initialization and ensure all chip types match. It should match at least one of them; if not, the connection is faulty.
Click on "Read" to read the EEPROM data and save it for further use.
